Digital Story
On Friday, July 4th, in the wee hours of the morning, torrential rain hit parts of the Texas Hill Country, and specifically Kerr County. Some parts of the county, such as Camp Mystic, an all-girls summer camp established in 1926, experienced 26 feet of rain in just 45 min. This rain became a flood, and these waters became fatal, taking the lives of nearly 121 individuals, and with 160+ still missing. This catastrophic, climate disaster, has touched all of us and will be on many of our minds for a long time. With little good news coming out of this tragedy, many people are wondering how they can help Kerr County and those affected. From that, small and large businesses have turned their sorrow into something with a purpose, and many are donating portions of their profits to the cause. However, it is these creatives who have decided to make an item solely for the cause of donating 100% of that item’s profits to Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, and various Gofundmes. We applaud their generous spirit, by turning what they are good at into something meaningful. Linked below are all the items shown in the graphic above, and a few additional links to donate to at the bottom of this article.
