Internship work for Betsy Hicks Interiors

During the fall and spring semesters of my senior year of college, I assisted the team of designers at Betsy Hicks Interiors with their client projects and social media presence, which I was able to grow by 282.3%.

Through constructing a social media strategy for the head designer at Betsy Hicks Interiors, I was given almost full creative control of their Instagram. My strategy focused on posting consistently, especially on Instagram Stories, and attributing credit to designer showrooms, wallpaper & fabric designers, and warehouses themselves. Through this, our Instagram stories were often reposted by brands such as Kravet, Fabricut, Rebecca Atwood, Schumacher, and more. I also focused on creating stunning Instagram reels of behind the scenes, as well as finished client products, to give a 360 view of what a Betsy Hicks Interiors space really looks like. I was also able to maintain and form new relationships with those in the industry through attending events at showrooms, Round Top antique weeks, and Austin home tours. Additionally, I was able to add value further by taking pictures of finished BHI spaces, editing those shots in Lightroom, and posting to the interior design firm’s website.
